Mississippi Native: Katie Rogers

What does it mean to call Mississippi home? Why do people choose to leave or live in this weird, wonderful, and sometimes infuriating place? You may already know Katie Rogers from her popular Mississippi-shaped stickers featuring iconic state landmarks (traffic cone included). Katie’s work is playful, colorful, and inspired by the landscapes, history, and culture of her home state. A trained graphic designer, Katie is constantly experimenting and learning: “I have a touch of ADHD, a fascination with the artistic process, and the need to get my hands dirty. […] And if I can pull a little bit of Mississippi in there with it, even better!” We’ll be doing a giveaway of some of Katie’s stickers and artwork on Instagram tomorrow, May 9.
